ady Zenira was a nurse assistant very efficient and
respected at her work place. There are several years she worked at that
pediatric clinic, situated in the district of Lapa, São Paulo and she
was loved for the doctors, bosses and patients. In spite of your 72 years
of age well conserved and at least 30 of profession, she didn't want retirement
knowledge, nor of hearing to speak.
She was very been irritated when somebody insinuated that she should
retire, that she must to rest and take advantage of a little the life, because
the years pass and we are going approximating, more and more, of the our eternal
rest. People talked her about the good things of the life, when we
retired and have free time to walk, to make long trips, other cheerful
things and entertaining people's company, finally, to accomplish dreams that
there are many years rocked.
The old lady closed the ears for not hearing.. She answered that was
still very strong to stop working and your efficiency could be proven for any
one, there in the clinic. Zenira said that she was very lucid and therefore very
far the day that somebody would call her of "old decrepit woman". The
retirement could wait. It would not be now that she would abandon everything,
mainly knowing that the owners of the clinic needed your excellent services,
they liked her, because she was assiduous –
Zenira had never come later in her job and
she had not missed the service, since she had been negotiated the work
contract and the most important: she had
never received not even some warning, that could dishonour your professional
reputation.
Zenira was a honest lady, very responsible, however, as human being doesn't
totally exist perfect person, Lady Zenira had a serious problem, that disturbed
and, sometimes, it complicated her life. The problem was the... Distraction!
Really this it was the old lady's only and more serious defect and once
in a while the distraction forced
her to face difficult situations.
Certain
time, her friend Clotilde called her house and she was an enormous time hoping
Zenira attended the telephone, when
her friend almost giving up on speaking, supposing that Zenira was absent,
suddenly she answered the telephone, if excusing for the delay:
- "Ah!
Are you, Clotilde?
Excuse me for the delay, but I didn't get to find
the telephone. I decided
to set in order my things
in the house and I finished to ended up piling the clothes on where the telephone was...
"
- "But
Zenira, that madness that is?
How is
it that you
went to
forget where the telephone
was? - when
it plays,
you hear
it ringing".
-
"I know, but it happens that I placed the clothes yesterday and
today no longer I reminded
plus, but excuse me Clô, I cannot speak now to
you, because I
am with hurry, I need to go to the ILHA
COMPRIDA (a large
island in southeast littoral of São Paulo)
to solve some problems, that
appeared there at my beach house".
- "It
is well, I won't delay her, but then, in the turn, call me and we will talk
calmer".
They said good-bye and in the following week, returning of the trip,
badly and when she entered home, her telephone played. It was Clotilde asking
how the walk had been in the Ilha Comprida and Zenilda displeased she answered
her that had been horrible.
-
"Horrible! but, why my friend?"
- "It
is that the bus went away
in the
exact moment
when I arrived to
Iguape. It was
already later at
night and
like you
know, because of the
tide, the buses that pass at my house in the beach, they don't circulate more
and because
of this, I
was forced to walk to foot..."
- "To
foot? but you are
really crazy,
they are
almost ten
kilometers. I
don't know like you it tolerated that walk. Well, and then? "
- "Then that was very dark and I was very tired, walked, walked and didn't get to find my house. I decided to sit down in the sand and to take a nap, a little. It was so dark that nor I noticed there was somebody lying in the ground, to my side – he was an old beggar, that also tired, he had decided to take a nap there".
- "But
Zenith, that
madness! Is
it there,
but tell
me what
was that
happened after?".
- "I
asked the
man where
we were and he opening an
eye answered me that he didn't know nor
his name, the
more to
know where they were.
I gave up on doing questions to the old, because he seemed
"drank".
I was so tired that soon fell asleep. And I slept, slept beautiful
dreaming about all the angels of the Sky!"
- "That
madness!"
- "I
woke up with the sun in the face and an unexpected surprise".
- "What
surprise?"
- "You
won't believe, Clô, I slept
the whole time in front of the door of my own
house. It was so dark that I didn't notice".
Clotilde doubted of the absurdity.
-
"I don't believe! But, I am not
understanding, as you
didn't find your
house, because
it confronts
with an
immense light transformer
that there
exists. Didn't
you see
it?".
- "I
didn't see, not! It is that I was so distracted...! "
- "But
as a person can sleep in front of the own house and not to notice?"
- "It
is..., I am really distracted!".
- "But..., my friend, that it is really the...CUMULUS OF DISTRACTION ! ! !".
We would like to render a homage to our friend Maria de Lourdes Fischer (Zenith) that inspired us to create such rich and funny character. We tanned your friendship for many years until that God took her to encourage a little the Sky, with your current amusements. Rest in Paz, Dona Fischer.
