" THE SERVANTS STRANGERS "

     Things exist in the life that even God doubts. They are unusual facts that they seem legends, counted for the riverine of the Amazonian. Our darling and longing Aunt Dinga told us an experience lived by her, inside of this concept of unusual abnormality, of the call " sui generis ", that populates and it colors the imaginary of the life. 

     She counted us that certain time was to visit a friend widow in a ranch of Ramos' Paraná, there in Amazonas she found her longing and solitary with your baby of few days of life. Her house was big and Dinga noticed that Clemilde, her friend, lived alone and without employees and she investigated: 

- " How do you live here alone and do you taking care of the baby and of 
such big house? ." 
- " I am not alone, I have Chiquinha and Januário that make the whole 
service of the house and they still help to take care of the baby ". 
She described the efficiency of the referred serviceable, couple laborious, responsible and worthy of the best praises. Aunt Dinga congratulated her friend, that was turned quickly and she screamed for the kitchen: 
- " Chiquinha, please bring the baby's feeding bottle (milk) and you, 
Januário, swallow a Surinam cherry juice (pitanga) for our visit"!

     What happened soon after it doesn't give to believe. They appeared in the room two enormous monkeys with apron and cap, one with the feeding bottle with milk for the baby and the other, white towel bent in the arm and holding a small tray with a juice glass (pitanga), kindly offered to petrified Tia Dinga, that stuttering refused, alleging not to drink Surinam cherry juice, very acid for her gastritis. She said good-bye, quickly, with the excuse that she wasn't feeling well and she fled frightened of that house. They are picturesque memories of her amazon reminiscences...
