The television is a powerful vehicle, that it penetrates at our house not just influencing the people,
but also, surprisingly, the animals.
See for instance, what happened with my neighbor's dog, Aline.
Freddy, was a nice tyke, of faded black color, that with
sweet glance and in it's vagrancy life, it conquered the residents of the
building in that we lived. The only thing that made to stop your mischief was to
attend television, mainly in the schedule of Anita's Presence (brazilian
mini-series) And the one that more it fascinated it was
the music " Ne me quitte pas ", of the French composer Jacques
Brel, in the hoarse and seductive voice of Maysa. In this moment,
he extended in the ground, with the leaning on its little head
in one of the paws and it was hypnotized, perhaps identifying with
snarled it of the French pronunciation, growing, with the charm of the song.
Little by little, your behavior was modifying. Of having behaved, it
becames always an unquiet dog, an accustomed invader of apartments, in search of a garbage can
to turn.
Freddy liked to do your visits to a certain apartment, where Lilica, a
"lady" of the type "big-poodle" resided become French,
of color in a tone black brightness, for the soft ones as velvet, always brushed,
sophisticated, been born in cradle of gold and that it simply ignored the
insinuating presence of Freddy, for her a tyke, a poor-devil, without pedigree,
born nobody knows where, fruit of a brood of almost a dozen of dog nestlings.
A dog scented evil, that became called of
"Stink", for obvious reasons, living unhappy in the corners
without any rag, that covered it such battered hair.
Lilica, on the other hand, was always elegant in your coat of blue velvet,
embroidery with flowers rosy and always scented exhaling " imported shampoo
".
Freddy, however, it stayed impassive in your obstinacy in doing Lilica
the love-making and the invasions became frequent. They were turning if
current your ransoms, in Dona Domenique's apartment, young French widow, a
beautiful woman,fourty years old, always chic and very graceful, provoking sighs
even in the most frozen of the men and that from your longing Jacques' death,
she just lived in the company of your dear Lilica.
She took care of your female dog with the love and the affection that she
feels to a daughter and she didn't look upon with favor the sentimental
ravishments of the stink tyke and didn't like it's impertinence, because, with a
certain routine, took advantage of the arrival of the deliverer of " pizzas
", passing with an astute mode among your legs and it hide below of your
armchair, where it was flirting with delicate Lilica and it was very difficult
to remove the dog of there, to not to be pulling with energetic impulse it's length tail (that was exposed),
and dragging it outside, leaving the marks of your fingernails in the shiny wood
carpet... finishing like this unhappy Romeu's sexual importunements and
returning it to your origins of a poor tyke, that one day dared to dream an
emergent future, in the so longed for high canine society. Frustrated attempt of
who dreams about the open eyes.
There was at the building other competitive one, a female dog, also
" little poodle ", of name Malú, that died from loves for Freddy,
that simply ignored female dog presence. Christiane,
your lady, youth brunet color of jambo, beautiful, sociable and very
communicative person, became separated between " Rap " and the "
Pagode ". she liked a lot to sing and it was common to hear for the whole
building the cheerful sound of her voice. Sometimes,
in your apartment they had encouraged parties and the outstanding sound of
" Rap " and of the " Pagode " it ran free and the people
danced tanning the last successes. Malú adored to hear those music and it was
anxious with the festival atmosphere, seeking a lenitive for the frustrated love.
It was formed like this not the triangle of the loves corresponded.
Malú loved Freddy, that loved Lilica, that despised it.
This, for your time, insisted on ignoring the mignon " and "
white " Malú. Wailings, sorrows and many sufferings expressed in aching
and unbearable yelps if they made to hear, irritating the residents of the old
building. But the climax happened in the schedule in that the television
exhibited " Presence of Anita ", that to the eyes of romantic Freddy,
it became in Presence of Lilica ". And agitated, it barked marking with the
tail the compasses of the music " Ne me quitte pas ", until somebody
to give it a flounce and he to leave yelping of pain, being moved away, well
shrunken, dreaming about your Lilica and thinking about the lack of the people's
sensibility, that they didn't understand it's love pain. But, the destiny, in an
almost tragic way, almost finished with that canine idyll.
Freddy, upset with the rejection of Lilica and not tolerating so much
humiliation, it decided to flee and
taking advantage of the negligence of one of the residents, that left the
_self door opened, it escaped and it won the streets of the neighborhood, in
search of adventures, that made to forget the
painful love. It's lack of experience with the local traffic, ended caused your
running over, for a car, that passed in high-speed in front of the building.
The dog adventure finished
on top in an abrupt way of a hospitalar stretcher, in the clinic of Dr. Onofre,
old veterinary doctor, with long experience in canine running over.

" It is,
my friend,
you escaped
from a good one. Happily it
doesn't present any fracture.
There are just some excoriations, anything of serious.
The old doctor said examining the paw of Freddy, that insisted on valuing the wound, with an unhappy glance of an underdog and with the bent paws, as if they were broken, trying to move the doctor.
The return was a party. They gave to Freddy the good comings, with a
beautiful and scented bath, with " shampoo ". After all, the things
are not so tragic, as they seem.
Anita's Presence mini-series finished, sophisticated Lilica was to spend
vacation with your lady in France and your absence did with that Freddy forgot
Lilica and it started to render more attention in the white and naive Malú,
that after all was well " attractive " for the canine patterns.
Freddy then, changed the romantism of the French music for the swinging
of a " Rap " and " Brazilian Pagode ", mainly in the
schedule diary of the novel " The Mother's Daughters", that Freddy
attends with all attention in the appartment (apê) " of
brazilian Malú, among caresses and licked. After all, we have to value
our things, because they are part of our culture.
- Ah! The love tupiniquim is
beautiful, until among the animals...
– " It is not true, Freddy?
