" Chronicles of a Past From São Paulo "

                    SYNOPSIS    

                    The theatrical play consists of a light adaptation of some chronicles of the literary work of the famous brazilian writer: Antonio de Alcântara Machado: " BRÁS, BEXIGA and  BARRA FUNDA " and it portrays the Italian colonization, in the middle of the Century XX, in the city of São Paulo, presenting histories as the one of the boy Gaetaninho, that dies hasty for a trolley; of the deathwatch and of the suffering of your family, with your unexpected absence.    

                    It presents also the story of italian Salvatore Melli and your family, fanatic fans of the PALMEIRAS FOOTBALL CLUB, famous team of our city; of Counselor José Bonifácio, whose marries Lady Mariana forbides absolutely the daughter's courtship with the Salvatore Melli's son, well-knowed as "italian carcamano", salesperson of potatoes and onions and she only consents when she discovers that he is richer than your husband.

                    It is very interisting the uneasy and complicated courtships of adolescents girls, Carmela and of your inseparable friend spinster Bianca, and show too, how the love can to be transformed in a  tragic story, when barber's Nicolino was envolved in a crime of passion, a person who killed for love.      

Finally, the narration of the collector's of the bus " Square of the Patriarca-Lapa " history, Aristodomo Guggiani, that turned a soldier impassioned by the Brazilian National Hymn, and later he was a collector in the same line again, without forgetting your incommensurable and fanatic love for our Hymn.  

                    They are some aspects of the daily of the work and of those immigrants' intimate life and your descendants, that so much impelled the growth of that metropolis paulistana (São Paulo), always portrayed with a lot of humor and a poetic and nostalgic, indispensable touch when it is always spoken about that dear " city of the drizzle ", heart of Brazil.
