SCRIPT  " LAUDELINA, THE MAIDSERVANT "

BIG HOUSE - EXT. - DAY 

(A hand plays the intercom. Laudelina, young baiana, 22 years old, clear brunette, eyes and hair chestnut, very cheerful and speaker, she arrives to the gate (shut up), of the big house. She brings in the hand a newspaper announcement that checks) 

LAUDELINA 

Is here that are seeking maidservant? 

(Nobody answers, but the gate opens up and she is heard to 9th. Symphony of Beethoven. Laudelina enters and she observes the great trees in the garden. It appears then the immense big house and she see a senior man's in the main door of the house that makes a gesture, so that she approaches. She, then, walks in his direction.  She observes that is taken care of an approximate man - mind 62 years, of white color, blue eyes and white hair, quiet and very nice appearance gentleman)  

LAUDELINA 

Good morning, I came through the announcement of the newspaper on maidservants (it shows the announcement) and very cheerful ...became, because... (the man cuts) 

MAN 

...Good morning. I really placed this announcement, because I need a person that cooks and take care of the house. How does your name?  

LAUDELINA 

Laudelina! 

MAN 

And me Roberval. Do you know how to cook? Do you have references? 

LAUDELINA 

Yes I have... 

(She removes an envelope of the bag and she gives to Roberval, that reads the letter quickly) 

LAUDELINA 

... And modesty, I cook very well, are you married? 

ROBERVAL 

I am single, alive alone and I am retired.  

LAUDELINA 

I am also single and alive alone.                                                           

ROBERVAL That is very important, because nobody is not had that disturbs the life. As the kitchen, taste of varieties, mainly with relationship to the types of very soft meats! I am a carnivore in potential! (He opens a smile). I am lover of meats and of Beethoven's music! 

LAUDELINA 

Music of who? 

(he doesn't answer the question) 

ROBERVAL  

Can you begin to work tomorrow , OK? 

(He extends the hand and she correspond) 

LAUDELINA 

Right, Mr. Roberval! 

(smiling) 

HOUSE - INT. - DAY - DAYS LATER 

(Laudelina sweeps a corridor and she stops in a door, that she tries to open, but it is shut up. It is heard to 5th. Symphony of Beethoven and Roberval appears). 

ROBERVAL 

No! No, Laudelina (she get scared) this room I clean himself, because it has many personal things what I don't like that move, did you understand? 

(Her still afraid and makes an affirmative gesture with the head and Roberval leaves the place to the sound of the 5th. Symphony of Beethoven and very curious Laudelina tries to look for the keyhole, but she nothing sees) 

LAUDELINA 

(disappointed, for herself) 

What a pity! I wanted so much to see what has there inside! 

ROOM OF THE HOUSE - INT - DAY 

(Roberval attends the television. Laudelina, behind him. He comments on the lunch) 

ROBERVAL 

The lunch was delicious! The stew with such a soft meat!.... and Laudelina you cook very well. Congratulations! 

LAUDELINA 

Thank you, boss! But tomorrow it doesn't have more meat, it ended. Do you want me to buy? 

ROBERVAL 

(agitated) 

No, not! Meat, I am always buys! 

BALCONY - EXT. - DAY 

(Seated Roberval, reading the newspaper. Busy Laudelina in cleaning the picture. He shows her a news of the newspaper). 

ROBERVAL 

See that news! A murderous maniac is free on in the streets, doing slays. Taake care girl, when you leave this house, at night... 

(Laudelina is blessed) 

ROBERVAL 

... nowadays, the people are very violent. 

LAUDELINA  

They forgot about God. There in my earth… 

ROBERVAL  

(cutting) 

It is quite so, they forgot about God. Care! Very care! How much cruelty! 

CORRIDOR - INT. - DAY 

(She sweeps the corridor and she tries to open the door of the forbidden room again. The music 5th is heard. Symphony of Beethoven, the noise of Roberval coughing and she gives up her project). 

LAUDELINA 

Ah, but one day, I still enter in this room! 

(Roberval appears and he speaks) 

ROBERVAL 

Will Laudelina, tomorrow I will take a small trip and will I come back perhaps at night, please do arrive an earlier little, yes? 

LAUDELINA 

You can leave, boss, very early I will be here! 

ROOM - INT - DAY 

(She sweeps the room. She stops an instant and cheer if she plays in the sofa, she catches the remote control to tie the TV, but she gives up and gets up quickly, catches the broom, going to the balcony and she begins to sweep). 

LAUDELINA 

That house finds strange, few pieces of furniture, without a vase with flowers... 

The intercom plays. She looks for out and doesn't see anybody. She continues sweeping. The intercom plays again. She is going until the main door of the house and she shouts). 

LAUDELINA  

Who is? Appear! 

(total silence. She decides to leave, but when she gives some steps, she retreats afraid with the third touch of the intercom and she doesn't see anybody) 

LAUDELINA            

And if he is the maniac? 

(In panic, she enters and closes the door quickly. She hopes for a new touch, doesn't happen)

LAUDELINA 

Ah!, it should be that kids of the street, wanting me to disturb. 

(She is going in direction of the corridor of the house, sweeping). 

CORRIDOR OF THE HOUSE - INT. - DAY 

  (Laudelina sweeps the corridor and she stops in front of the door of the room (her curiosity). She rotates the knob of the door and.... SURPRISE!!!! THE door of the room is open. She gets scared and closes the door quickly). 

LAUDELINA 

Well, now, like him forgot to lock the door, I can enter... 

(slowly, she opens the door, enters in the room and she is frightened) 

LAUDELINA 

Ué, is empty!!!  It only has a refrigerator, that strange!!! 

(she is going until the refrigerator and she opens the door slowly, when suddenly appears a hand with a piece of the arm, that falls down outside and they are hanging. Laudelina, afraid, pushes the bloody member inside and she slams the door of the refrigerator. She screams histeric. She is heard again to 5th. Symphony of Beethoven and the voice of Roberval, soon behind her). 

ROBERVAL 

Laudelina!!!! You are a lot, very curious!  

(she sees herself slowly, terribly afraid) 

LAUDELINA 

Mr. Roberval!!!!!!!!!!!! 

(and a shade with a knife is projected on her, that screams desperate. Total silence). 

INTERCOM OF THE GATE - EXT. - DAY 

(a hand plays the intercom) 

VOICE IN OFF 

Is it here that are seeking a domestic maid?
